Yes I'm a PUNK but I'm a WINNER too!!!

As many of you already know I have been working...scratch that...playing hard last month to win the Studio Calico - Home Front Collection over at The Scrappiest. It was the January prize that I had wanted really, really badly and I created 4 layouts to try to win it. This layout of mine won it! Yay me!!

Funny story....last year my younger brother started modeling. His first big gig was when he did a fashion show for Tony Williams album release party in Hawaii (where we're from).

Tony Williams is Kanye West's cousin and he has written and produced songs with both Kanye West and Jay-Z.

He had posted some of the runway pics. on his MySpace and I had snatched one of them and created this.... and this.... and the scrapbooker in me had to create a layout too! LOL
Then I commented on his myspace and told him that I had started seeing his face all over the east coast (where I was living)....remember, he's still living in Hawaii.

I did it for laughs because me being his big sister I have always picked on him when we were growing up. Never did I think that anyone would actually believe the pictures but apparently they looked believable because EVERYONE believed them! LOL Our family, his friends, everyone was telling him how proud they were of him. Then I get a call from my mom about it and spilled the beans to her on how I was just playing and when she told me that everyone (including my brother) believed my prank I was shocked. When my brother called me I felt SO bad when I told him I was just playing around with him and that it wasn't real. He was so embarrassed that he never told anyone that it was just a prank by me. LOL

Good news is that he has continued modeling and has even made it into a magazine (really)! Two magazines actually. He models surf wear and is in a couple of surfing magazines. Here's the pictures of the magazine ads. He's the guy with the BIG afro. LOL Can't miss him! I'm really proud of him!

I do like to reminisce about when we were kids and I used to pick on him though. All the pranks I pulled....can't even count em' all. I can still remember when I traded him three of my $1 bills for his one $5 bill. LOL

The latest scrapbook layout I created of our time together as kids is for the XOXO Girls "Team X" challenge. It's about a time I suckered him for his lollipop. I titled it "SUCKER" - no pun intended! *Pay attention to the pictures and the story will tell itself.
