Even with such a busy and sometimes hectic schedule I have managed to get inspired to create a little more than what I already have on my plate. And trust me, I already have a plate full. One of my all-time favorite artists, Steph Devlin, invited me to join a project she and a couple of friends of hers have been working on for awhile. When I found out it was a Ning group I almost deleted the email but I was curious, to say the least. So, I checked it out and I am SO glad I did!
The place is called "The Color Room" and I'd like to invite you there to check it out yourselves, if you haven't already. Your jaw will drop at the very sight of their uber talented design team. Promise! BIG named girls that I can guarantee you will recognize. Like Ingvild Bolme for example and Sasha Fierce....ooops! I mean Holloway. ;-) If you don't go and check them out you'll be missing out on a lot of fun!
Here is what I was oh-so-inspired by:
First sight of that palette and I was ready to go full speed! I had a few speed bumps get in my way but managed to push not 1, but 2 layouts out of me. Yeah! I was REALLY inspired. Even though those soft colors aren't usually what I use in my everyday creations. If I can push more out of me between now and friday (when the challenge ends) I will!
Here's my first layout creation titled MUSE. The journaling are song lyrics by a music group called MUSE and it goes: "I'll be there as soon as I can. But I'm busy mending broken pieces of the life I had before." I also added "Memories" and "oh...to be a kid again" to convey the feelings I had when creating this.
I found this picture of myself when I was a toddler, during much happier times of when I was a kid. I didn't always have a good life with smiles and laughter, so in a way this layout speaks volumes to me. In it's own corny right, it's a way of telling my younger self that I'm in the process of letting all of it go, move on and be completely happy again.
If any of you knew me IRL (in real life) you would know that it takes A LOT to bring me down because I don't go down easily. LOL So, in retrospect it takes A LOT to get me back up again. It's also easily said that it takes A LOT to get me mad. When I do get mad though, I hold a grudge and I'd say that is my biggest flaw. I'm happy now, more than I have ever been but I also know that I need to let go of a lot of stuff to be completely happy....and I'm getting there. These are my confessions because I also entered this layout into the challenge over at ALL ABOUT ME. The prompt was "Self Improvement: Your biggest flaw."
This is a scraplift of a LO by one of my favorite artists Tara Anderson.
This layout is also being entered into the Paper Poppy Kit Co. Recipe Challenge this month. You were to use the colors black & white, a music symbol and song lyrics.
This next layout is titled BLOOM.
This is my youngest daughter, Eva, last year (2009) out on our front porch. She was rocking back and forth really fast on the rocking chair we used to have, eager for her Daddy to come home from work. They were having a father/daughter date to the bowling alley and she was excited to go. Back then, she used to take her white and hawaiian Hello Kitty Dolls with her EVERYWHERE!
You can find just about everything I used on these 2 layouts in the BlueMoonScrapbooking store.
The embellishments and beautiful patterned papers are by Prima, American Crafts, 7gypsies and Tattered Angels just to name a few. BTW, I must mention the American Crafts Letterbox and Botanique Collections are on sale everyday! Go check them out!
If you got this far, thank you for reading up on what I've been doing. I hope you check out the few sites I mentioned and I hope you have a fabulous day!

WOW!!! I'm so glad you played along, because I love love love your work, it's a true work of art. You created a beautiful LO with a great subject, I never hold grudges, but I'm married to someone who does, and even though nothing of it has to do with who we are as a couple, it dampers a lot of our relationship and his relationship with the kids, I'm glad you are working on yours, Good luck I know is not easy. thank you so much for playing.
