CHRISTMAS RECAP (two-oh-one-oh)
This is a Christmas Recap....don't let the shirt fool you.
This Christmas we were lucky enough to have my husband's Grandparents fly out to spend it with us. They are such an important part of our lives and Christmas wouldn't be the same without them.
Deja at age 12
Every Christmas Eve I have my kids make either a Gingerbread/Rice Krispie Treat House. However, this year I had them decorate the cookies that we would leave out for Santa.
Jeremiah at age 7
They each were given 3 cookies to decorate however they wanted.
Eva at age 3
They quickly got to work while the adults hovered over them to watch their creations unfold.
Isaiah at age 9
It's never a good sign when I see my husband getting too close to the kids when their doing stuff like this.
This would be why.
This little guy is safe....as everyone knows to leave him out of food fights. He can't handle the food fights.
This is what happens during the food fights....
They dig through the fridge and grab anything that will make a mess.
In this case it was yogurt!
Every time there is food fights in our house, someone ends up getting hurt. Good thing this guy is a toughie!
Little Miss Prissy didn't get too involved this time.
She was working too hard on her perfection for Santa.
Although, I think the kids forgot that they were making them for Santa because after all was said and done this was all that was left out for him.
After all the ruckus I had to have me some of my COMFORT = Hot Chocolate & JOY = An Excedrin.
When the kids went off to bed Santa ended up visiting the spot under this here Christmas Tree with gifts that broke the bank account.
Here's Eva on Christmas morning deciding which one to open first.
I don't know how kids know what their going to be getting on Christmas but on the days leading up to Christmas this kid insisted that he knew he was getting this (an XBOX 360 with Kinect). He bugged me in every store we went into saying "I know you got me an Xbox, I know you got me an Xbox." No matter how much I tried to convince him that he wasn't. Will someone please tell me how kids know these things?
Santa listened to her request for playdoh. That's her favorite thing to play with at Sunday School.
Deja loved the Hawaiian Jewelry my Mother sent her from Hawaii. She had the BIGGEST smile on her face this-morning.
I'm so lucky that my little guy gets excited about every gift that he opens. He spends so much time openning each gift and appreciates each one SO much! Even if it's clothes....many kids don't like getting clothes on Christmas but he thinks it's the coolest thing!
Gotta represent the home team!
My gift from my honey. I'm such a juicy girl!
The kids always check their stockings after they open all their gifts. The stuff in these socks amuse them a lot longer for some reason then the actual gifts themselves.
Okay, maybe the whistle was a bad idea now that I think about it.
Don't mind her! They all had an awesome Christmas this year!
I'll have to say the same for the Grandparents. They were caught playing with the Playdoh even when Eva wasn't around. :-)
