Not completely.....I still get to see him on Skype. Unlike most people, we don't do the whole buying gifts for each other thing anyway.....we're pretty practical like that. I do miss being able to go out to dinner with him though. We always go out to dinner for our Anniversary. I guess we'll make up for it when he gets back though right?
Since he's gone and I had nothing else better to do I did do some clothes shopping for myself and I almost never am able to say that because I'm usually always shopping for the kiddos wardrobe instead. I almost have more fun shopping for them than I do myself because I'm so picky and well, they have such cute clothes for kids these days.
Anyway, I tell my husband "thank you" for the gift he got me and surprised he says "I didn't get you anything." I then had to explain that I bought myself something this year (clothes) and he then says "Oh! Your welcome. How much did I spend on it again?" LOL That's usually how it goes since I don't trust his judgement when it comes to buying things.
All day I have been reminiscing about special moments he and I have shared and all the memories we have made together and to think.....We started out sleeping on a couch in a little apartment (nice apartment though) but nothing in it except a couch and a tv. We didn't even have a tv stand.....just a tv on top of a bin. LOL Back then, we had nothing but our love for each other keeping us going. Now, we still have that undying love for each other but also a full-furnished house, 2 vehicles and a nice savings. It's been nice building a life together with him and I am looking forward more and more to the future because I know it can only go up from here.
I am so thankful that he loved me so much that he put a ring on it.

Happy Anniversary! I'm sorry that you guys can't spend it together :( It really is hard....but when you have the love of a good man, it makes it a little easier! He would MUCH rather be here with you by his side than where he has to be right now. I'm glad that you get to see him on skype!!! That's exciting! The DH and I rarely buy each other presents either. Logic behind that is that if he wants something he goes and buys it, same with me, so we begift ourselves! :)It's really the little things that make one feel loved, not a gift in a box...so many people fail to realize this.
