Although I would greatly consider my scrap room, my mom and even my husband "my escape from the world" sometimes.....I would have to say that above all, I am most at peace when I am spending quality time with my youngest child, Eva.
She's the one who grounds me.
I could be having the crabbiest of days and taking it out on everyone while they back away from me. Yet, she steps forward and doesn't even budge with my hollaring. She says "Mom" repeatedly in different tones to try to knock me back to my senses. She hugs on me and covers me in kisses while I'm huffing and puffing. She knows I love her laugh and tells me to tickle her and that always gets me in a better mood. And she tells me she loves me too much.....which lightens my heart and makes it feel all a flutter.
She's my breath of fresh air so to speak and I am so incredibly lucky to have her in my life. She is one of the greatest gifts that God has bestowed upon me and knew that I needed.
This 3 year old smart and beautiful little girl is my Sweet Serenity.
